About The Position

The Asphalt Roller Operator is responsible for operating the paver on a construction job site in a safe manner. The Operator must complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent. Primary Function: The Asphalt Roller Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment on a construction jobsite in a safe manner. The Asphalt Roller Operator must also complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Manager.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a “Negative” result.
Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a “Capable” result.
Eligible to work in the United States
Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold

Nice To Haves

At least six months experience operating equipment listed above.

Responsibilities

Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer’s guidelines.
Performing daily maintenance & safety checks.
Cleaning equipment as required.
Ensuring that equipment is secured at the end of the shift.
Must foster harmonious interactions and relationships and maintain basic standards of civility in the workplace.
