Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Two years of related experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must maintain a current driver's license that meets state requirements.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Basic knowledge in electricity and mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the computer blending and load out controls in the plant control house.
  • Communicate with the crew about the scope of work for the day, types of mixes to be made, materials to be shipped or received, and amounts.
  • Load and dispatch trucks to assigned jobs, ensuring proper materials, amounts, and customer information are reflected on tickets.
  • Ensure no trucks leave the plant if overloaded.
  • Work with QC Department to ensure quality standards are maintained on materials.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers, following all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
  • Report any problems to manager, Safety Manager, or Human Resources.
  • Ensure daily maintenance of the plant is completed and the plant is kept clean.
  • Report all major maintenance problems to supervisor.
  • Assist in training less-experienced employees on proper operations, servicing, and repair of the plant.
  • Perform general laboring duties when necessary and other duties as assigned by management.
