About The Position

We are looking for an Asphalt Plant Manager to join our NEW plant in the Eagle Mountain, Utah community.  Our Asphalt Plant Manager in Eagle Mountain must be a hands-on safety-oriented  Plant Manager to manager all site activities, including: maximizing production, overseeing maintenance, and maintaining appropriate reporting. This is NOT a desk job, a substantial portion of your time will be involved in the operation and upkeep of the plant, but you must have reporting and operational skills to leverage as needed. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, organized individual that takes pride and ownership in their areas of responsibility ultimately elevating the overall operations and team productivity. Requirements

  • 5 + years of leadership background in a Production Based plant within industry
  • background in MSHA based facility
  • Must exhibit personal focus on Integrity, Initiative, Communication, Autonomy and Accountability
  • Success within our team relies on both a Stop the job – Every person who as on our sites are empowered and expected to stop the job when unsafe behavior is being displayed
  • You see it, you own it – if you see a problem, you are to take the initiative to fix the problem. Be prepared to discuss these in your interview if selected.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the Health and Welfare of the crew and ensuring the site meets or exceeds OSHA Standards
  • Responsibility for the administration of the Summit Safety Principles
  • Responsibility for obtaining the maximum production at the plant
  • Ensures that quality products are being produced within internal and external specifications
  • Enters timecards, maintenance logs, production logs, etc. into computer system
  • Makes, executes and manages a Plant Maintenance and Production Program
  • Makes the Daily Production and Maintenance Schedule (including but not limited to daily maintenance projects and mix production as need based on sales)
  • Parts requisitions
  • Coordinates with Outside Contractors on Equipment Repairs as needed
  • Coordinates with the Shop on Mobile Equipment Repairs
  • Responsible for Knowing the Site Financials and Achieving Budget Goals
  • Coordinates with Area Manager to Ensure Production Plan and Maintenance Plan is Being Executed Correctly
  • Coordinates with Paving Forman to provide correct quantities and quality of HMA
  • Scheduling of Crew based on Production and Maintenance needs within Available Operating Hours
