Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years due to the working environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical.
  • Valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration form.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel, work nights or weekends, and adapt to changing schedules.

  • Physical Readiness: Able to work outdoors in extreme hot or cold temperatures, and perform physical tasks including climbing, stretching, sitting, twisting, and using hand tools on rough terrain.
  • Safety Focus: Strict adherence to safety guidelines and use of PPE as required by OSHA/MSHA standards.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
  • Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
  • Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
  • Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical education or certificates in basic welding/fitting are a plus.
  • State-approved welding certification is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate skid steers and other mobile equipment to maintain plant and quarry access points.
  • Keep work platforms clean and orderly, ensuring a safe environment for all team members.
  • Perform hands-on cleanup assignments using a variety of hand tools.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and routine servicing of assigned equipment.
  • Assist in running the crushing plant and support plant repair and maintenance as needed.
  • Manage water-based cleanup tasks carefully to avoid unsafe conditions near electrical equipment.
  • Proactively communicate with the foreman regarding operational challenges or opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor environmentally sensitive areas and help maintain our commitment to environmental stewardship.
