About The Position

Harrison Construction Company, a CRH company, is seeking a dedicated Crew Member to join our asphalt plant crew. This position is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the asphalt plant. The Crew Member will assist in various tasks that are crucial for keeping the plant running smoothly and safely. The role requires a commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations. The Crew Member will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and will report any issues to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager. Attendance is critical to ensure that the crew can operate at normal efficiency levels. The Crew Member will engage in a variety of duties, including shoveling, loading equipment, and performing general maintenance and upkeep of the plant. The position may require the use of both power and hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, hammers, saws, pneumatic hammers/drills, and other tools associated with labor. The Crew Member will also be responsible for digging, spreading, and leveling construction materials, as well as lifting, carrying, and holding materials, tools, and supplies. Following the directions of the manager regarding daily tasks at the plant is essential, as is the physical ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes and for extended hours. The normal shift for this position ranges from 8 to 12 hours, and the Crew Member is expected to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with co-workers, customers, and the public at all times. This role may also require flexibility with last-minute schedule changes, location changes, and time of shift changes, as well as the willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary. The ability to work at heights of up to 90 feet while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is also a requirement of the job.
