About The Position
The Asphalt Paving Superintendent will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of asphalt paving projects. This position requires a seasoned professional who can effectively manage multiple paving crews and coordinate the activities of workers involved in various tasks such as spreading, rolling, tamping, and patching asphalt or similar materials. The Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, and driveways are constructed to the highest standards. In this role, the Superintendent will provide overall leadership and management on the construction site. This includes planning and coordinating onsite functions, managing schedules, controlling materials, and providing day-to-day direction to field personnel. The Superintendent will be expected to maintain a strong presence on-site, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt paving, mass earthwork, and underground utilities, with a preference for experience in FDOT projects. The Superintendent will also be responsible for supervising Foremen and leading by example, fostering a strong work ethic and a stable work environment for all team members.
