About The Position

Employee will be responsible for the safe and proficient operation of the asphalt paver. This position requires excellent communication with dump trucks and close coordination with the paving crew to produce high-quality asphalt mats. Employee will be experienced, safety-conscious, and work well in a team environment.

Requirements

• Proficient paver operation and strong communication skills with dump trucks
• 2+ years asphalt paving experience
• Knowledge of paving processes and quality standards
• Reliable Transportation
• Safety awareness
• 40-65 hours/week availability

Responsibilities

• Operates the asphalt paver to spread and level hot-mix asphalt accurately and efficiently
• Maintains consistent speed and direction while communicating effectively with dump trucks
• Coordinates closely with Screed Operators for proper grade, thickness, and smoothness
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of the paver
• Monitors asphalt temperature and material flow to prevent defects
• Ensures proper overlap and joint construction
• Assists with general labor tasks when needed
• Participates in daily safety meetings and enforces safety rules
