About The Position

Employee will be responsible for providing essential labor support to the Asphalt paving crew. This entry-level position involves physical tasks using basic hand tools to prepare, place, and clean asphalt materials. Employee will be physically fit, safety-focused, and work well in a team environment. Willingness to learn paving operations and adjust to daily project needs.

Requirements

• No prior experience required; asphalt or construction experience preferred
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and team player attitude
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety practices
• Reliable transportation
• 40-65 hours/week availability

Responsibilities

• Shovels, brooms, and rakes asphalt and base materials to fill voids, clean surfaces, and prepare for paving
• Assists roller, paver, and screed operators with loading/unloading materials and tools
• Maintains clean and organized work areas throughout the project
• Performs site preparation, traffic control, and general construction support tasks
• Participates in daily safety meetings and follows all company safety procedures
• Helps with material distribution and basic hand-tool tasks
• Reports any safety hazards or equipment issues to the foreman
• Assists with general cleanup and site restoration at end of shift
