Overview: We are looking for a reliable foreman to join our asphalt crew! Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of the crew, job completion, communicating with Superintendents and asphalt plants as needed, and having the ability to train new and existing crew members where needed. This role should have the ability and experience in each position of the pave crew to assist in all aspects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Medical DOT Card
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive outlook and a willingness to learn.
  • OSHA 10 (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience operating a Weiler P385B
  • Construction: 5 year (Preferred)
  • Asphalt: 5 year (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
  • Hoisting License (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Greet crew daily on job site to complete Toolbox Talk and get the day started
  • Layout the job and schedule for the day for optimal work completion
  • Communicate with team and Plant for materials needed, including any changes
  • Work alongside crew throughout the day to ensure proper job completion
  • Understand proper trucking logistics for the paving industry
  • Responsible for safe, profitable and efficient operations on all assigned projects.
  • Ensure the crew represents the company well to the customer and the public.
  • Responsible for the way in which a given job gets done.
  • Plans and organizes work to maximize potential crew productivity by employing delay free production; maximizes equipment utilization levels by ensuring availability and operator effectiveness.
  • Responsible for day-to-day quality control of company-performed work.
  • Supervise and train concrete crew
  • Comply and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
  • Review crew’s timesheets
  • Review problems on projects with project manager
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
