About The Position

Working with government agencies, private contractors, counties and municipalities, we produce millions of tons of quality construction materials and pave many miles of highways every year. This position requires a CDL license with Tanker endorsement. This position will operate the Asphalt Distributor on Road Construction projects.

Requirements

• Current CDL license with Tanker endorsement
• Ability to operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck
• Ability to perform minor servicing and maintenance on equipment
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Responsibilities

• Must have a current CDL license preferably with Tanker endorsement and the ability to learn how to operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck
• Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt
• May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor
• May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions
• Must pass DOT physical/drug screen
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
