About The Position

This non-exempt position adheres to a Quality Control System, which complies with federal, state and local construction specifications for the asphalt and concrete plant products as well as the products from the quarry operations. The role involves running daily quality control tests to ensure compliance with specification of various projects and with federal, state and local regulations. The position also requires developing and adhering to all quality control procedures for the asphalt, concrete and quarry operations, as well as developing asphalt and concrete mix designs in accordance with project specifications. Coordination with quality control procedures on various projects with representatives of federal, state and local government agencies is essential. The role includes conducting various lab experiments on products using established scientific protocols and coordinating with the asphalt, quarry and concrete plant control rooms regarding mix designs required by customers. Additionally, the position involves receiving and analyzing product related technical data coming from external salespeople and technical representatives regarding production procedures, and performing other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE ASPHALT FIELD LEVEL 1&2 CERTIFICATIONS.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience; 3-5 years preferred.
• Knowledge of types of products and product components.
• Understanding of government regulations on product quality.
• Knowledge of lab scientific protocols.
