About The Position
The St. Louis County Department of Parks and Recreation Asphalt Crew is currently seeking two (2) motivated individuals to join our team. The typical starting salary range is between $21.49 -$25.78 hourly depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations. Examples of Duties Essential Function Examples Operate heavy equipment, vehicles and machinery requiring a Commercial Drivers License in maintenance activities. Perform general roadway or grounds maintenance and sign manufacturing, installation and service on a specialized crew. Repair and replace asphalt roadways and surfaces. Maintain, repair or install concrete structures or surfaces. Marginal Function Examples Care for and clean designated indoor and outdoor areas. Provide care and propagation for trees, shrubs, turf and plants. Remove snow and ice. Some positions lead lower level workers operating heavy equipment. Perform administrative tasks associated with work completion. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Requirements
- Possession of a Valid Class A CDL and two years of experience in general maintenance or related work;or an equivalent amount of training and experience.
