About The Position

As an Asphalt Concrete Laborer at VCI Construction, you will be an integral part of the Telecom Underground team, engaging in various phases of underground construction. This role involves hands-on tasks such as asphalt raking, rolling, and operating construction equipment, all while ensuring safety and efficiency in a supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks is preferred.
• Physical abilities to work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces, operate vehicles and heavy machinery, and lift greater than 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction tasks including asphalt raking, asphalt rolling, loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment.
• Install underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate construction equipment and maintain work areas.
• Clearly communicate with all team members.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Help with site restoration efforts.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
