About The Position

The Senior Account Executive plays a pivotal role in the strategic management and growth of high-value client accounts within the company. This position is crucial for maintaining and expanding client relationships through exceptional service and tailored solutions, ensuring client retention and satisfaction. Responsibilities include mentoring junior account executives, refining internal processes to boost efficiency, and acting as the primary escalation contact for complex client issues. The role demands proactive engagement in client meetings, strategic planning, and the renewal processes, while also supporting cross-functional team collaboration to optimize service delivery. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities, comprehensive industry knowledge, and the ability to drive both operational excellence and revenue growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S) from a four-year college or university required
  • 3-5 years TPA & Self-Funded experience required.
  • COBRA, HIPAA, & ACA knowledge for ALEs required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership/management/motivational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent account rounding ability.
  • Strong understanding of claims management.
  • In-depth knowledge of client servicing.

  • Has robust understanding of how cost of risk impacts clients financial statements and unique attributes which may hinder solutions (e.g., jurisdictional challenges, union workforces, remote locations, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of industry products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value, complex accounts, developing tailored service plans and strategic solutions to meet client needs.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for AEs, providing guidance on best practices, and professional development.
  • Work with leadership to help develop and refine internal workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline service delivery.
  • Serve as an escalated point of contact for clients and brokers, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, meetings to understand client needs, feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with client and broker on strategic planning and plan design advice through report analysis and presentation. C
  • Attend employee benefit meetings and health fairs as requested.
  • Service and process inquiries on new and existing products and services.
  • Lead the renewal process, ensuring accurate pricing, benefit changes and contract updates.
  • Identify opportunities to cross sell additional services and products.
  • Collaborate with sales and underwriting to retain and renew business.
  • Collaborate internal teams on changes to plans, contacts, broker, etc.
  • Contract review to include but not limited to: Plan Documents, Amendments, Administrative Agreements and Stoploss Contracts
  • Quality control for group implementation and renewal updates.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery and prompt issue resolution.
  • Keep clients informed of any updates to products, services, or compliance requirements that may impact their plans
  • Coordination of PHI updates.
  • Group level plan changes including internal and external notification.
  • Attend Finalist presentation meeting as requested.
  • Coordinate with IT and other internal teams on implementation or termination of vendors and file feeds.
  • May perform other duties as required.
