The League for the Blind & Disabled DeafLink ASL Staff Interpreter The League’s DeafLink Program is seeking a dedicated, hard-working and self-motivated ASL Staff Interpreter to join our team. 1. Interpreting services include medical, educational, business, and governmental settings. The ideal candidate should have a strong work-ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and be motivated to serve our community. Prefer a qualified person with a disability. Essential Duties/Skills/Responsibilities/Qualifications · Provide sign language interpreting services in Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio. · Provide emergency pager/on-call services one week per month with additional compensation. · Submit accurate and complete assignment reports that are consistent with information contained in the DeafLink Interpreter Handbook and The League’s policies and procedures. · Maintain compliance with business needs as well as entities that provide credentials for interpreting in the DeafLink service area. · Meet the required minimum third party annual billing hours. · Bachelor’s degree and/or RID Certification, required . Experience with legal, performance and mental health interpreting, preferred .
