About The Position

We are seeking a highly qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support a hearing‑impaired DevOps Developer working on a government contract inside a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). This role requires daily on‑site support at the NRO campus and the ability to interpret technical terminology accurately in real time.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a secure environment, collaborating closely with technical personnel, and navigating complex, specialized vocabulary common in IT, DevOps, and engineering.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Polygraph (must already be fully adjudicated; no waiting period)
• Demonstrated proficiency as an ASL interpreter
• Ability to understand and interpret technical/IT‑focused terminology
• Strong professionalism, confidentiality, and communication skills
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site at the NRO in Chantilly, VA

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience supporting government, defense, or intelligence clients
• RID certification (not required but advantageous)
• Experience interpreting in highly technical environments

Responsibilities

• Provide real‑time ASL interpretation for a hearing‑impaired DevOps Developer during daily work inside a SCIF
• Interpret technical terminology related to software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and related domains
• Support meetings, briefings, and day‑to-day communication within the classified workspace
• Maintain strict adherence to security protocols and SCIF policies
• Work a consistent schedule aligned with the supported employee (core hours 9 AM–3 PM)
