About The Position

This position provides sign language interpreting, captioning or tutoring for the deaf and hard of hearing on a part-time, as needed basis. Interpreters and captionists will provide services for students and staff in a variety of settings and times including evenings and weekends on all campuses.

Requirements

• Sign Language Interpreter: QAST Certification level I or equivalent with commitment to pursue higher level.
• Tutors: demonstrated knowledge base in subject area.
• Captionists: skills in CPrint or other real time captioning system.
• Interpreters: Completion of a sign language interpreter preparation program.
• Associate's degree or higher, QAST III equivalent or above.
