The Senior ASIC Verification Engineer role at Cisco involves driving existing projects and engaging in the development of next-generation switching systems. The position focuses on developing ASICs that are integral to Cisco's switch products, which are essential for high-speed packet forwarding in networking. The engineer will work closely with a team responsible for integrating Cisco's Nexus systems and ACI with various software solutions to support multitenant cloud environments.

  • Create block level test benches including components like drivers/monitors/sequences
  • Maintain existing test benches for block level and/or cluster level
  • Upgrade test benches to accommodate new features
  • Perform end-to-end verification of various design blocks
  • Develop test plans and cover points
  • Upgrade/update configuration/reset sequences (APIs)
  • Collaborate with designers/verification engineers to perform cross-block verification
  • Write tests and debug regressions
  • Contribute to top level verification
  • Participate in emulation testing efforts
  • Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of experience in Design Verification
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience in Design Verification
  • Hands-on and deep understanding of System Verilog and UVM methodology
  • Ability to write System Verilog constraints and construct testbenches including scoreboard, agents, sequencers, and monitors
  • Ability to debug issues independently
  • Proficient in functional coverage and constrained random DV environments
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative and team-focused, with the drive to learn and grow
  • Basic scripting experience (Python, Perl, shell programming)
  • C, C++ programming and debugging skills
