Micron Technology is seeking an ASIC Architect to join its ASIC architecture team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge and experience in various aspects of the System on Chip (SoC) design and implementation flow, including coverage-driven verification, synthesis, place and route (P&R), static timing analysis (STA), design for test (DFT), power islands, floor-planning, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and IR-drop analysis. The role requires an understanding of how architectural decisions impact these flows, making it essential for the candidate to be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and quality-focused. The ASIC Architect will be responsible for developing, contributing to, and leading both macro and micro-architecture activities in storage-based controllers. Daily responsibilities will include reviewing product and firmware requirements, collaborating with other ASIC architects and system architects to define and document feature sets and data/control flows for the controller and its component IPs. The architect will also define requirements for ASIC design, verification, and physical implementation teams, evaluate trade-offs in area, performance, power, and ease of implementation among different solutions, and review and configure third-party IPs. Additionally, the architect will support other teams within the ASIC organization, assist product teams with documentation, code reviews, and silicon debugging, and continuously seek opportunities to improve design quality and practices.
