Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Prior Asian Wok or Asian culinary experience required.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to use all Wok Station equipment and other kitchen equipment at an advanced level.
  • Ability to understand and follow production logs and quantities precisely.
  • Ability to safely and correctly operate basic kitchen cooking equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to perform basic math operations and interpret data.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of Asian cooking styles and techniques.
  • Ensures that the Asian product, taste, and presentation exceed customer expectations.
  • Assists with Sushi station as needed.
  • Responsible for assisting in the preparation of a la carte and buffet food items.
  • Adheres to proper cleanliness and sanitation standards as set forth by ServSafe.
  • Accurately cools hot food products to proper temperatures before storage.
  • Reheats cold foods to proper temperature before service.
  • Monitors hot food holding temperature logs and documents corrective actions.
  • Remains knowledgeable on and adheres to proper time/temperature controls.
  • Properly covers, labels, and dates food products before storage.
  • Conducts proper FIFO procedures when stocking/replenishing storage areas.
  • Cleans workstation and equipment prior to end of shift.
  • Serves as an ambassador for all Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions of workstation.
  • Performs all assigned cleaning and general maintenance tasks.
  • Reports issues and/or guest complaints to leader.
  • Supports and promotes superior customer service in accordance with standards.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and reports potential issues.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
