About The Position

Responsible for properly preparing and cooking all Pan-Asian Food items in a safe, timely, organized manner maintaining high quality of foods and demonstrating professionalism that reflects our company values. Assures that guests have a favorable dining experience at Luk Fu Asian Restaurant.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Culinary arts courses or the equivalent experience working in Pan-Asian Restaurant.
  • Three+ (3+) years’ experience as a line cook in Pan-Asian restaurant.
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by MSLA or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

  • Ability to use all kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Ability to read and write basic instructions.
  • Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Ability to be creative with cooking and food preparation.
  • Ability to read and interpret production lists, menus, and Banquet event orders.
  • Ability to complete accurate record keeping.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to produce from standardized Pan-Asian recipes.
  • Be able to prepare, portion, and cook Pan-Asian food accordingly.
  • Ensures stations are prepared to meet anticipated levels of business for the day, assisting fellow staff when needed.
  • Validated on all stations (including Prep).
  • Accomplish daily cleaning duties in an efficient manner following sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to properly handle high volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent quality of food in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work hands on with other kitchen personnel to ensure high quality of food, timeliness of food service, proper food handling, and a safe, sanitary kitchen.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures to ensure employee safety.
  • Follows all appropriate procedures and works under supervision of culinary management team.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • May occasionally interact directly with guests.
  • Abides by company and department specific appearance standards.
  • Demonstrates professionalism that reflects our brand and company values.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
