About The Position

The Presales Solutions Engineer - Data Protection at SHI will serve as a customer-facing security expert, utilizing a consultative approach to security projects. This role involves understanding how security technology supports business objectives, developing new security service offerings, and engaging with clients to assess their security needs. The position is primarily remote but may require occasional office visits in Austin, Texas, as determined by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience in a technical cybersecurity role.
• 3+ years' experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
• Ability to design security infrastructure including firewalls, endpoint, email, intrusion prevention/detection, identity, and event logging.
• General understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
• Attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills are critical.
• Possess a real passion for technology.
• Expert technical knowledge of Security Solutions.

Nice To Haves

• CISSP, Relevant GIAC Cert, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or Relevant Professional certifications in Cyber Security OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Leading client engagements and assessments including scoping, following an industry-standard methodology, and reporting findings.
• Continuously improving penetration testing processes.
• Delivering detailed reports and leading debriefing calls with clients to discuss vulnerabilities discovered during engagements, as well as offering remediation and mitigation options.
• Learning company Security services offerings and portfolio through self-study, partner training, and company-sponsored training.
• Collaborating with multiple layers of contacts within an organization to strengthen customer relationships and understand their goals.
• Educating sales teams on Cyber Security solution selling and key technologies through various training methods.
• Staying current on new technology, trends, and market behavior by studying market trends and the industry landscape.
• Engaging in self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job-related knowledge and skills.
