About The Position

The Presales Solutions Engineer - Data Protection will serve as a customer-facing security expert, utilizing a consultative approach to security projects. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of how security technology supports business objectives, as well as the ability to develop and deliver new security service offerings based on customer needs. The position is primarily remote but may require occasional travel to the Austin, Texas office as determined by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience in a technical cybersecurity role.
• 3+ years' experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
• Ability to design security infrastructure including firewalls, endpoint, email, intrusion prevention/detection, identity, and event logging.
• General understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
• Attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills are critical.
• Possess a real passion for technology.
• Expert technical knowledge of Security Solutions.

Nice To Haves

• CISSP, Relevant GIAC Cert, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or Relevant Professional certifications in Cyber Security OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Leading client engagements and assessments including scoping, following an industry-standard methodology, and reporting findings.
• Continuously improving penetration testing processes and delivering detailed reports to clients.
• Leading debriefing calls with clients to discuss vulnerabilities and offer remediation options.
• Learning company Security services offerings through self-study and training.
• Collaborating with various organizational contacts to strengthen customer relationships and understand their goals.
• Educating sales teams on Cyber Security solution selling and key technologies through training sessions.
• Staying current on new technology, trends, and market behavior by studying the industry landscape.
• Engaging in self-study and independent work to enhance job-related knowledge and skills.
