About The Position

This 1st shift Aseptic Technician II position is responsible for executing department specific tasks in accordance with all applicable cGMPs and compliant with Corporate/site procedures, regulations, and policies. Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Weekend, every fifth weekend as needed. The role involves filling vaccines into respective presentations, including running multiple fill lines per regulatory filings and local procedures in a clean room setting. It also includes lyophilizing vaccine and final capping of product, which involves working with portable and stationary equipment and steam. The technician will execute aseptic techniques and clean room procedures or support area procedures in a GMP facility, and maintain and edit departmental cGMP documentation. They will execute and lead operations to comply with all written procedures, including Batch Records and SOPs, and follow all financial and site safety procedures, identifying ways to improve the department's safety culture. The position requires operation of departmental equipment, including set up and take down, and providing oversight as necessary. The technician must effectively work in a team environment and communicate with multiple departments, setting up, running, and tearing down capping equipment and fill line equipment. Clean room gowning is required, and aseptic processing skills are necessary while working in a small team in a clean room setting. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate inventory, loading/unloading freeze dryers for lyophilization, applying aluminum seals, mentoring/training colleagues, and providing department oversight as requested.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • Clean room gowning
  • Aseptic processing skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Ability to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently
  • Ability to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work overtime as needed
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 5 to 25 lbs
  • Ability for regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Ability for repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Willingness to work off-shift

Nice To Haves

  • Post High School education in the Sciences or other related disciplines preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and / or Operator I level beneficial
  • Good mathematical, science and computer skills preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills beneficial

Responsibilities
