The Aseptic Tech 1 is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Omaha, NE - Vaccines site. Position Details The Central Services, Media Prep, Fill Tech is an is an integral part of our Central Services, Media Prep, Fill team based out of our Phibro Vaccine Omaha Office, in Omaha, NE. The Central Services, Media Prep, Fill work as one unit. Techs are expected to overlap departments when needed, as workflow dictates. This position will be trained in all areas of these departments.   • Ability to apply mathematical formulas to practical situations with laboratory work including conversions and volume measurements of dosages.
  • It also requires computer/software utilization.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push/pull tanks weighing up to 1300 pounds.
  • Must be able to move from place to place in all areas of production.
  • Must be able to stand and bend during entire shift.
  • Requires good eyesight for calibrations and hand/eye coordination when viewing glassware, measuring and filling orders.
  • Includes heat when working around autoclaves, cold when pulling items from cooler, and moisture when cleaning and disinfecting glassware.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in these areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Batch and fill orders after completion by Virus or Bacterin Production.
  • This position requires standing for long periods of time to batch and fill orders and lifting.
  • Basic math skills required to calculate volume measurements, conversions and dosages, computer and data entry skills.
  • Good hand and eye coordination to measure and fill orders.
  • Follow and use aseptic technique at all times when filling and stoppering an order.
  • Label and pack fills, see that vial counts are completed for fills.
  • Label Government samples.
  • Required to keep concurrent and accurate paperwork.
  • Comply with all USDA regulations (9CFR regulations and guidelines concerning the department.
  • Keep holding room and laboratories stocked and clean.
  • Rotate stock within the lab according to autoclave run dates.
