About The Position

The Aseptic Support Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the compounding lab at Wedgewood Pharmacy. This position is essential for ensuring that lab equipment is sterile and ready for use, supporting the lab technicians in delivering medications to veterinarians and pet owners. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a clean working environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior related working experience and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification is strongly desired
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail and understanding of accuracy and precision
• Positive and professional attitude with punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean compounding lab facilities and equipment
• Ensure consistent supply of sterile lab equipment and tools
• Clean and sterilize equipment including beakers, mixing bowls, and large laboratory equipment
• Support lab technicians in getting medications out the door to vets and pet owners
• Learn and adhere to SOPs for cleaning the clean room complex and compounding lab.
