About The Position

Sidel is looking for a Aseptic Field Service Engineer that performs Installation, start‐up, commissioning and test of the Sidel Aseptic Equipment supplied to customer sites. The candidate must perform technical assistance during and after the warranty period, carry out trainings and other after sales services of Sidel’s equipment installed at customer sites. Develop a good understanding of the customer needs to provide objective advice and to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in engineering (+2) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent level of English is a must.
  • Specialization in Mechanic or Aseptic Processes.
  • 2-3 years of experience in field activities.
  • Technical subject matter expertise on Mechanic capable to read P&IDs and Pneumatic circuits. Aseptic technology capabilities are a plus.
  • Availability to travel up to 90 % (Including International Locations).
  • Having the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis, at a pace consistent with other employees performing similar work.
  • Having the capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods of time, at a pace consistent with the position’s demands.
  • Having the ability to work comfortably in confined spaces, on rooftops, and at heights, while using appropriate fall protection and safety equipment.
  • Having manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for operating tools, handling parts, and working with delicate components.
  • Having the ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold.
  • Having the ability to drive and travel long distances, including occasional assignments with short notice.
  • Having the ability to wear and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and respirators.
  • Having the ability to perform duties under time constraints and in high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the beverage/packaging industry is a plus.
  • Spanish, Italian and/or French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Test and evaluate equipment performance at customer plant, based on technical, contractual and safety specifications.
  • Check all instrument and being capable to parametrize it as will be used during phases of cleaning, sterilization and production.
  • Check and setting all parameters and recipes to perform the correct cleaning and sterilization cycle and get the Combi ready for the production.
  • Meeting with Site Manager, Aseptic Filed Coordinator and customer to organize the Filler and/or Blower progresses.
  • Perform the Aseptic validation with Process Authority and Customer.
  • Support during the project phases of caps and bottles validation with Process Authority and Customer to validate all caps, preforms and bottles.
  • Capable to create Tickets securing the proper follow-up of equipment’s non-conformities.
  • Prepare the job progress chart and technical reports in reference to carried-out activities.
  • Perform activities in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) securing Sidel and Customers coordination plan rules.
  • Report to his manager after sales opportunities detected on Customer site.
  • Ensure ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure equipment’s safeties and protections in place and functionals to the scope.
  • Report to the Installation Site Manager and Aseptic Field coordinator for team site activities.
