About The Position

The Ascent Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse and delivery operations, supporting business needs. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction by managing inbound and outbound logistics, inventory, equipment, and warehouse organization. The position provides direct leadership to warehouse and delivery associates while ensuring compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and service expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations roles.
  • 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience with demonstrated people leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and warehouse or inventory systems.
  • Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory storage, and order fulfillment.
  • Oversee customer orders requiring delivery or shipping, ensuring service expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate and execute commercial deliveries for assigned stores in partnership with the Commercial team.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing freight while balancing cost control and service level requirements.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and efficient warehouse and commercial staging areas.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across warehouse locations and assigned stores.
  • Oversee centralized battery and bulb recycling operations in compliance with storage, handling, and shipping requirements.
  • Manage inventory, including tracking, storage, shortages, and return compliance.
  • Maintain company-owned equipment, including delivery vehicles, forklifts, and testing equipment.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, certifications, and required documentation for equipment and fleet.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign daily warehouse and delivery activities to meet operational and customer needs.
  • Train, coach, and develop warehouse and delivery associates through ongoing feedback and performance management.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address performance or conduct issues in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Investigate, document, and report safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure completion of required training programs.
