About The Position

Provide direct support to the Region 11 client local education agencies (LEAs) in all areas of student administrative services provided. This position may be partially or completely funded using grant and/or federal monies and is assigned programs to include activities designed to enhance the effective and coordinated use of funds. Actively participate in and/or provide leadership for inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region, to improve the ESC/s internal operations, and to meet the established goals and objectives for the ESC. Is responsive as the first point of contact to all stakeholders in the education community. Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance, need, and funding.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • Software knowledge of: ASCENDER Student TeacherPortal ParentPortal StudentPortal MS Office Suite
  • Create new system documentation for all processes
  • Team-oriented and collaborative with ESC staff and LEA personnel
  • Excellent knowledge of class scheduling, attendance accounting, and grade reporting
  • Relate to administrators, staff, and vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of educational administrative rules and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of PEIMS Data Standards and the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook
  • Excellent workshop/presentation skills
  • Five years experience at a Regional Service Center or in a School district at a campus level working with student accounting software systems

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Student Team projects
  • Provide telephone support
  • Provide workshop training
  • Provide on-site visits
  • Assist with PEIMS
  • Learn new software features
  • Create new documentation
  • Provide suggestions for planning and scheduling client training
  • Implements new applications
  • Other duties as assigned
