The Ascender Student Software Analyst position will provide training and technical assistance to ESC Region 12 contracted School Districts/Local Education Agency (LEAs) in the area of Student Information Systems (SIS) software and state-required coding.

  • Provide technical/consultative support in Student Information Systems (SIS) operations and related software products to contracted school districts/Local Education Agency (LEA)
  • Support and assist contracted LEAs in proper coding of all PEIMS/TSDS
  • Support other state-required student data reporting within local and state-mandated deadlines
  • Deliver professional development
  • Ability to train, support, and troubleshoot using zoom remote sessions
  • Be a participating member of statewide Co-op, Ascender, including research for software development
  • Participate in ESC Region 12 and/or other professional development opportunities
  • Some day travel required with occasional overnight travel
  • Provide technical/consultative support in SIS operations and related software products to regional LEAs
  • Support and assist LEAs in meeting all deadlines and proper coding for governmental data submissions
  • Participate in TxEIS User Acceptance Testing and related research for software development
  • Help with TSDS PEIMS and other LEA data submissions
  • Bachelor's degree required or commensurate experience
  • Express positive attitude, dependability, enthusiasm, and work as a team player; excelled people skills
  • Technical expertise in computers and student information systems
  • Expertise in technical support, data administration/analysis, workshop presentation skills, managing multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge of federal and state law as they relate to state-required student data coding
  • Facilitate, communicate, organize, problem solve; handle deadlines; demonstrate initiative in difficult situations
  • Manage multiple tasks and work cooperatively with others
  • Maintain a calm attitude in demanding situations
  • Make changes and adapt to various responsibilities on an ongoing basis
  • Work with frequent interruptions, tight deadlines, and limited office space.
  • Experience in the support of Ascender, Skyward, or SIS Software, preferred
  • Experience on Texas School District/Campus preferred
  • Experience with PEIMS/TSDS, SAAH, and state reporting preferred
  • ESC Region 12 provides monetary contribution up to $575 per month to use for employee/family healthcare and supplemental benefits.
