We offer various services including Cataracts, Glaucoma, Retina, Family Eye Care, contact lenses, cosmetic, oculoplastic & reconstructive surgery with multiple locations on the south side of Georgia. Position Summary The Surgery Team Lead supports daily operations of a high-volume ophthalmology ambulatory surgery center. This is a working leadership role responsible for maintaining efficient patient flow, supporting staff performance, and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards while actively participating in patient care.

Requirements

• Prior leadership or charge experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead peers in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict professionally
• Working knowledge of surgical workflow and documentation standards
• Must be able to organize and set priority for work to be done
• Maintains current BLS certification and completion of required annual in-services
• Active LPN license or senior MA experience in a surgical setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Support daily workflow across pre-op, OR support, and PACU to include obtaining intravenous access
• Ensure surgery schedules, logs, and documentation are accurate and complete
• Monitor patient flow and proactively address operational bottlenecks
• Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to clinical staff
• Reinforce adherence to policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
• Support supply management and cost-effective resource utilization
• Escalate operational or performance concerns to leadership appropriately
• Maintain readiness for regulatory and accreditation standards
