Medical Benefit as low as $30.89/per pay-period Benefits begin first of the month following hire POSITION SUMMARY This position supervises daily clinical operations of the Pre-Post Area of the Surgical Center and manages the clinical staff in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation regulations and guidelines, as well as established policies and procedures. Oversees patient care activities in the preoperative and postoperative space. Responsible for ensuring the Pre-Post Area has appropriate supplies, controlled drugs, and equipment. Responsible for staff development, orientation, discipline, staffing, and performance management under the guidance and direction of facility leadership FACILITY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Participates in direct patient care activities adhering to the requirements of the RN job description for preoperative, and postoperative patient care. Serves as a role model for staff. Supervises the daily operations to include patient care in the preoperative and postoperative areas ensuring standard operating procedures are followed. Actively participates in creating and implementing standard operating procedures to ensure quality and regulatory requirements are met. Manages Staff including competent staff selection, department orientation, training, directing and delegating tasks and processes, maintenance of required licenses and certifications, managing performance, coaching, constructive conflict resolution, inventory tracking accountability, staff competencies, accountability for the Standards of Behavior, and provides staff recognition. Accurately reviews and approves timecards and attendance records and submits payroll timely, if delegated to do so. Manages utilization of staffing resources through appropriate scheduling consistent with procedure volumes to include OT control and appropriate use of low census. Responsible for taking appropriate safety and infection control precautions in all areas including workflow processes, medical equipment maintenance and utilization, and hazardous waste handling and disposal. Maintains emergency response equipment and supplies and plans for medical emergency management. Manages daily Inventory controls for equipment, instrumentation, supplies, and controlled substances to meet patient needs 100% of the time within budgetary constraints. Assists the Rn Clinical manager with process improvement, Incident reporting, and quality initiatives as delegated. Achieves patient, employee, and physician satisfaction initiatives. Provides timely response to patient complaints. Resolves critical issues and identifies process improvement opportunities. Analyzes opportunities to identify causes and find solutions.
