About The Position

The ASC Registered Nurse (RN) at Houston Methodist is a licensed staff nurse responsible for providing professional nursing care to a diverse patient population. Requirements

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for required credentials.
• Two years of nursing experience in a pre-op/PACU, ICU, or ED environment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) Texas State Licensure or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) certification.
• Certified Postanesthesia Nurse (CPAN) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care effectively and efficiently, including patients with varied and complex needs.
• Conduct nursing assessments and assist with exams and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
