Opportunity Overview We have an opening for a Per Diem ASC Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Cary, North Carolina. In this role, the Per Diem ASC Operating Room Registered Nurse will: Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in the operating room setting Assist in pre-operative assessments and verifying surgical consents Performs pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative patient care duties for surgical procedures including egg retrievals, hysteroscopies, embryo transfers Monitor patients intraoperatively and responding to patient status changes or emergencies Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical support teams Perform accurate instrument and supply counts in compliance with safety standards Maintain sterile field and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols Document patient care in the EMR system in real-time with attention to accuracy and detail Provide post-operative education and discharge instructions to patients and their partners Participate in patient safety, quality improvement initiatives, and ASC accreditation compliance Support a collaborative and emotionally supportive environment for patients and staff Maintain inventory of OR supplies and recommending cost-effective ordering strategies Participate in training, development, and education for new nursing staff or surgical support What You’ll Bring We’re looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.
