About The Position

The position is for a Lead Housekeeper at Asbury Inn and Suites, located on the Kentucky Campus in Wilmore, KY. The role is full-time and requires a commitment of a minimum of 40 hours per week. The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and hospitable environment for guests. This includes training and supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining schedules, ordering supplies, and serving as a liaison between housekeeping and guest services.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of custodial skills and procedures.
• Ability to prioritize job duties.
• Good organizational skills.
• Lifting up to 40lbs. possible on a daily basis.
• Must be able to work after hours or on weekends as scheduled on an emergency basis.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Trains all Asbury Inn housekeepers.
• Creates and maintains schedules for Asbury Inn housekeepers.
• Orders supplies to provide an adequate inventory (linen, amenities, and cleaning products).
• Serves as liaison between Housekeeping Services and Guest Services staff.
• Provides day-to-day direction for the housekeeping staff.
• Cares for the cleaning of the offices, front desk area, lobbies, public restrooms, guest laundry room, hallways, housekeeping areas, stairwells, etc.
• Responsible for the cleaning and stocking of guestrooms.
• Collects, sorts, washes, folds, and stocks laundry/linen from Inn and other campuses guest areas.
• Breaks down all cardboard materials for recycling and removes recycling from the building.
• Performs other duties as requested.
