About The Position

Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., is the largest furniture manufacturer in the world. Established in 1945, Ashley offers one of the industry's broadest product assortments to retail partners in 123 countries. We are looking for an AS400-RPG Developer with over 5 years of development experience in CL, RPG/400, RPG-ILE, and RPG Free-Form. The position is on-site in Tampa, FL.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience in CL, RPG/400, RPG-ILE, and RPG Free-Form.
• Expert-level experience in CL, RPGILE, and RPG free.
• Strong knowledge of OS 400 operating systems and CL job control language.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft product suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using CL, RPG/400, RPG-ILE, and RPG Free-Form.
• Work with Service Programs, ILE Modules, bound programs, binding directories, embedded SQL, Stored Procedures, Web Services, and APIs.
• Utilize the MDCMS Management tool.
• Use IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client (Eclipse) for development.
• Work with IBM DB2 and SQL databases.
• Expose iSeries programs for web applications including stored procedures and web services.
• Debug interactive and batch jobs effectively.
• Handle DDL and Spooled files.
• Provide support and maintenance for existing AS400-based applications.
• Manage XML/JSON documents in AS400.
