About The Position

The Part-Time/As-Needed Senior Project Manager will provide strategic oversight and client coordination for complex projects, working autonomously with no oversight. This senior-level role will lead large, high-profile, multidisciplinary projects; build on strong client and agency relationships; provide senior quality assurance review of reports; and organize and lead meetings with multiple stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will exhibit expertise in regulatory compliance and team leadership to ensure alignment with client and project needs. This is a variable-hour, as-needed position. Scheduled hours may fluctuate day to day and week to week based on project demands. The role is anticipated to average approximately 10 hours per week and is intended to support a single, specific project. The initial appointment is expected to be for a one-year term, with the possibility of renewal for additional years based on project needs and performance.

Requirements

  • 25+ years’ experience working with the California Environmental Quality Act.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or a related field.
  • Experience with managing environmental review for landfill projects, working with County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health & Quality in their role as Local Enforcement Agency
  • Expert understanding of County of San Diego environmental compliance protocols;
