Job Summary: The As-Needed Kitchen Support Staff member provides substitute coverage for cafeteria staff as needed. This position supports daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and safe food service environment. Individuals must be flexible and available to work on short notice when coverage is required. Training will be provided prior to assignment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and able to respond to as-needed work requests

- Previous kitchen, food service, or cafeteria experience
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation and meal setup
- Serve meals to students and staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, serving areas, and equipment
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support kitchen staff with daily operational tasks as assigned
- Demonstrate positive and professional interactions with students, staff, and visitors
- Perform other related duties as needed to support cafeteria operations
