Arts and Craft Specialist
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Camp Director the Arts & Craft Specialist is responsible to ensure all participants are provided with activities, that promote spiritual, social, cultural, educational, and physical development, and that the facilities will be kept clean, safe and attractive. The Program Assistant will uphold the employee code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y and the regulating agency. The Arts & Craft Specialist will display and encourage the character traits of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect in the fulfillment of all job duties.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Evidence of physical examination every two years
- Negative Mantoux TB test
- Immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella
- Certification of good health from a physician
- Must be able to walk around camp as well as stand a majority of the camp day.
- Must be able to sit, bend, stoop etc.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for opening, maintaining and securing camp area as scheduled.
- Implement and operate a quality Art program.
- Deal effectively with staff and program participants. Report and record, incidents and accidents, ensuring satisfaction with proper communication and documentation
- Responsible for maintaining and storing equipment.
- Implement and monitor all programs presented through Team Building, having full knowledge of all curriculum, materials and presentation.
