About The Position

Reporting to the Programming Manager and working in partnership with Line Producers and the Festival Director, this position has a strong focus on hospitality and artist services for Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City Festival. The Temporary Seasonal Artist Services Associate’s primary responsibility is to oversee the well-being of artists, upholding Lincoln Center’s artist services standards while building a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive backstage culture.

Requirements

  • 2- 4 years of professional Artist Services, Producing, Company Management, or Stage Management experience in touring or event production, with a keen interest in working with artists.
  • Ability to, and willingness to work a robust Festival schedule outdoors during summer months
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to thorough communication; excelling at keeping everyone in the loop
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven department/organization
  • Solid computer and organizational skills; familiarity with Microsoft Suite and/or Monday.com ideal
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to self-direct.
  • A passion for the performing arts and equitable work practices.
  • A sense of humor!

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Line Producers in managing and facilitating communication with artists for performances, rehearsals, and other events related to the production
  • Serve as main artist liaison for off-stage support.
  • Arrange artists’ hospitality according to Festival standards and/or the contracted needs of the artists
  • Book flights, hotels, airport transfers, and local transportation when applicable
  • Organize meals and beverages for rehearsals and performances
  • Meet and greet artists and company members on day of arrival
  • Create, update, and distribute artist welcome packets, backstage passes, and on-site resources (i.e DOS, schedules, menu books) to the visiting artists
  • Keep track of expenses and work with team in credit cards reconciliation
  • Support Line Producers in troubleshooting any day-of needs including running errands, equipment pick-ups, etc
  • Manage and update supplies inventory in coordination with Programming Manager
  • Coordinate and manage list of guest names for complimentary and VIP performance tickets for artists and staff
  • Oversee and manage teams of fellow Associates and Interns on performance calls
  • Represent Lincoln Center onsite as a welcoming face of the Programming Department
