We are seeking an Applied AI Engineer with strong software engineering skills and demonstrated experience building and operating production generative AI systems. You will lead the design and implementation of AI-native architectures, create scalable APIs and web services, and drive best practices for deploying secure, observable AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, with 1+ years focused on AI/ML systems in production environments
  • Strong Python expertise; proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend or service integration
  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services at scale
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable)
  • Demonstrated experience with production support: monitoring, triage, incident response, and post-mortem analysis
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Track record of independently driving projects from concept through production deployment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building generative AI solutions (LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases such as Azure AI Search)
  • Experience with FastAPI, React, and Azure Cosmos DB or similar technology stacks
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with automated testing of ML pipelines, model governance, and MLOps best practices
  • Experience mentoring team members or leading technical initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop production-ready AI applications integrating LLMs and generative models, making key technical decisions on system design and tooling
  • Lead implementation of AI context engineering strategies and AI agent architectures
  • Own end-to-end delivery of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment workflows for model artifacts and services
  • Drive reliability and observability standards: define monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies; lead incident triage and root-cause analysis for AI services
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data engineering, and platform teams to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows and feature pipelines
  • Contribute to team standards, code reviews, and technical documentation
  • Produce and maintain clear documentation, reproducible experiments, and reusable code to support long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing
