Artificial Intelligence (AI) Developer
About The Position
We are seeking an AI Developer to perform various activities to support the success of the team in providing quality IT services to USCB. TekSynap is a fast growing high-tech company that understands both the pace of technology today and the need to have a comprehensive well planned information management environment. “Technology moving at the speed of thought” embodies these principles – the need to nimbly utilize the best that information technology offers to meet the business needs of our Federal Government customers. The International Trade Administration (ITA) leverages advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to support mission delivery, economic competitiveness, and data-driven decision-making. To accelerate adoption while maintaining security and scalability, ITA is establishing an AI Center of Excellence (AI-CoE) to develop, operationalize, and sustain AI solutions across the enterprise.
Requirements
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in software development or AI/ML engineering, including delivery of AI-enabled applications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Clearance: Public Trust – Moderate Risk
Nice To Haves
- Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and development toolchains.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
- Experience supporting Federal IT systems.
- Advanced degrees or equivalent experience may be substituted.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI models, algorithms, and application components supporting mission and operational use cases.
- Preprocess, analyze, and manage large and complex datasets for AI development.
- Implement and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning frameworks to improve model performance.
- Integrate AI models into production systems and enterprise platforms.
- Document AI code, algorithms, and design decisions.
- Support testing, validation, and deployment across development, test, and production environments.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend enhancements aligned with ITA priorities.
