This role is pivotal in upholding Highmark's dedication to ethical, transparent, and secure Artificial Intelligence. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Consultant will be responsible for contributing to the creation and execution of cutting-edge Responsible AI policies, standards, and strategic initiatives across the organization. This individual will act as a primary subject matter expert and strategic collaborator, working with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Audit, Compliance, Government Affairs, and Enterprise Risk, as well as external partners including academic institutions, vendors, and industry forums. The aim is to advance Highmark's thought leadership and guarantee industry-leading Responsible AI practices. This position emphasizes proactive risk mitigation, strategic partnership management, and bolstering Highmark's external standing in Responsible AI. The AI Consultant will play a crucial role in the strategic development and implementation of Highmark's Responsible AI framework. This involves crafting and operationalizing policies for new AI technologies like autonomous agents and generative AI and nurturing strategic partnerships that elevate Highmark as a leader in ethical AI. The role demands a combination of AI policy expertise, robust strategic thinking, exceptional communication abilities, and a demonstrated capacity to manage intricate cross-functional projects. This will promote compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance Highmark's external visibility in the Responsible AI field.
