About The Position

Plan, structure, coordinate, execute and evaluate art psychotherapy sessions and other programming groups based on the specific needs and diagnosis of the patient population. Evaluate and record patients' progress in the medical record. Contribute clinical input in treatment team meetings and diagnostic conferences. Conduct orientation and in-service programs in art therapy for students and staff as requested. May provide clinical supervision to LGPATs (applies to LCPATs only) This position will provide coverage for all units on the Adult Service Line. The pay range for this position ranges from $58,410.82 to $90,195.04 for LCPAT. If you have LGPAT, the range is from $46,790.02 to $70,634.93.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in art therapy from an accredited college or university; depending on assignment may be required to have education/training specific to age and diagnosis of patient population
  • Must have or be eligible for a Maryland State license as a Licensed Graduate Professional Art Therapist (LGPAT) or Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist (LCPAT) at time of hire and throughout tenure in position
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Must be eligible for a Sheppard Pratt driver's license in order to transport patients as needed.  If you have 2 or more points on your driving record you may not qualify for this license.
