About The Position

The Art Teacher position at Fusion Academy is designed to provide a supportive and student-centered learning environment for students in grades 6-12. The role emphasizes compassion, emotional security, and independent critical thinking, while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of each student through a differentiated approach. The teacher will engage in one-to-one teaching, mentoring, and maintaining effective communication with parents, contributing to the overall campus community.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Solid subject matter knowledge in art and creativity.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
• Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is a plus.
• Teaching credentials are a plus.
• Ability to understand and support each student’s Formal Education Plan (FEP).
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Final Cut Pro.
• Experience in Graphic Design and Computer Drafting.
• Outgoing and well-organized personality.
• Eager to work in a dynamic school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a one-to-one teaching experience in the areas of art and creativity at grade levels 6-12.
• Adapt and differentiate instruction for all students to promote holistic growth.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress.
• Develop and maintain positive communication with parents.
• Contribute to and benefit from the campus community.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflection.
• Mentor students and provide support as a positive role model.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
