About The Position

Primrose School of Evergreen is seeking fun loving and artistic, part-time art teacher for our after-school program. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves art and bringing art projects alive into the classroom. As an after-school art teacher, you will be working with children ranging in age from 5 to 11 years old. Using our provided daily schedule and research-informed curriculum, the guesswork is taken out of the classroom, and you can spend your energy engaging with the children. Requirements

Patient and dedicated with a strong desire to guide and nurture children and families
Pleasant, friendly and compassionate demeanor.
Must meet required state background check
Proficient computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with parents
Professional, dependable, and reliable
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

12 or more core units in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred

Responsibilities

Create a safe and nurturing environment in accordance with state and school licensing standards
Implement art lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the provided Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum
Continually Observe and Assess each child's developmental needs and strengths
Maintains an attractive, organized classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
Cultivates positive relationships with families and colleagues
Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for children's behavior.
Necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
