About The Position

The Art Production Assistant Intern plays a key role in supporting the art department throughout all phases of production. Working closely with the Production Designer during both pre-production and on set, this role ensures the smooth operations by assisting with the setup, organization, and maintenance of art materials, studio spaces, and visual assets. The Art Production Assistant Intern will help create and manage art elements while supporting the overall artistic vision and production standards across projects. In addition to daily art department support, this position will take primary responsibility for wardrobe management, including organizing and maintaining the studio wardrobe inventory, sourcing and assembling costume and character looks, and ensuring costume care and continuity throughout production. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Creative eye with a strong interest in production design
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly workspace
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree in progress.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the video production process (preferred)
  • Interest in or experience with filmed advertising, marketing, or branded content
  • Interest or experience in wardrobe, costume design, or fashion styling

Responsibilities

  • Run production-related errands as needed, such as picking up or purchasing props, dry cleaning, or other items required by the Art department.
  • Assist the Design team in preparing for upcoming shoots by organizing sets, materials, and props in advance.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and functional studio environment to support daily production needs.
  • Support the setup of props, furniture, and artwork before shoot days. Provide hands-on assistance during production, including set resets, prop handling, and ensuring smooth transitions between shots.
  • Assist with new set builds and support the sourcing, organization, and handling of props throughout the production process.
  • Help maintain production documents and visual assets, ensuring they are organized, up to date, and easily accessible.
  • Assist with the management of the prop room, including cataloging, organizing, and maintaining inventory. Ensure all items are in good condition and ready for use.
  • Assist in prop, wardrobe and set pieces upkeep.
  • Prepare wardrobe looks and racks for shoot days based on creative briefs and talent sizing. Ensure all wardrobe elements are production-ready.
