About The Position

The Art Instructor at Laredo College is responsible for providing instruction in various art disciplines, particularly in 2D media, photography, and digital media. Requirements

• Master's degree in Fine Arts or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in arts.
• Three years of college-level instruction experience.
• Proficiency in various 2D media, photography, or digital media.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction of courses in the discipline field.
• Monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in assigned courses.
• Prepare and distribute syllabi on the first day of class.
• Meet all classes and scheduled responsibilities, including office hours.
• Prepare, administer, and grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner.
• Provide a safe environment for students and secure assigned equipment and materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise programs and courses.
• Participate in department initiatives to improve student learning.
• Participate in college activities such as orientation and graduation.
• Support recruitment activities and provide career guidance to students.
