About The Position
We have one fulltime faculty member in art education and use adjuncts for some of the courses in 2D and 3D materials or in high school or elementary education theory. Teaching assignments may change each semester and reflect the prior teaching experience of the adjunct faculty. Licensure is also expected in addition to a master’s degree. Requirements
- All faculty must have at least a Master’s degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching with 18 hours of course work related to the course(s) being taught.
- In some cases, subject to the approval by the Provost, a faculty member could be recommended for appointment based on substitution of significant experience for the degree.
- Licensure
Nice To Haves
- MFA degree with some teaching experience at the college level
- experience as a graduate teaching assistant may be acceptable
