About The Position

Love shaping the look and feel of brands that stand out? This role gives you the opportunity to lead creative across a multi-brand portfolio, bringing campaigns to life through elevated design and compelling visual storytelling. Tenth Avenue Holdings Decamarx is a portfolio of brands within Tenth Avenue Holdings, spanning apparel, home goods, pet products, jewelry, and skincare. We’re looking for an Art Director to join the Decamarx in-house creative team and serve as a key partner to the Creative Director. In this role, you’ll translate brand vision into standout creative across multiple brands and marketing channels while maintaining exceptional quality and speed. You will lead day-to-day art direction and production, ensuring that every customer touchpoint—from paid media to website to retail collateral—feels intentional, consistent, and on-brand. Success in this role means the Creative Director’s vision is clearly visible across brands and channels—consistent, elevated, and unmistakably on-brand. The creative team moves faster with fewer rounds of revision because direction and feedback are crisp, decisive, and actionable. Campaigns feel cohesive across the entire funnel, and creative performance improves through thoughtful iteration rather than constant redesign. Freelancers and internal teams enjoy working with you because you bring clarity, organization, and a high standard that elevates the quality of everyone’s work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in design and art direction with strong eCommerce and digital marketing experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating high craft across paid social, email, web/ecomm, and campaign systems (print a plus).
  • Proven ability to lead execution and manage designers/freelancers across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience art directing photo/video shoots and guiding edits with clear feedback.
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel creative needs and channel-specific best practices.
  • Performance-minded: comfortable using data to inform creative iteration.
  • Exceptional taste and attention to detail for typography, layout, photography, motion direction.
  • Experience managing creatives as direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and elevate creative talent through structured feedback, strong prioritization, and clear direction.
  • Experience delegating effectively across a team and holding accountability for deadlines and quality.
  • Advanced in Adobe CC and Video Editing (Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere Pro).
  • Proficient in Project Management software such as Asana or Monday.com.
  • Working knowledge of video/motion graphics workflows and DAM systems.
  • Highly organized, decisive, and comfortable giving direct guidance: “Here’s what to do, here’s why, here’s what great looks like.”
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of core design principles and brand systems.
  • Effective time management, organizational habits, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Creative Director vision, brand strategy, and campaign briefs into clear creative plans including channel deliverables, timelines, and direction for designers and freelancers.
  • Lead and oversee creative output across paid social, email, web/eCommerce, organic social, display advertising, video, and print collateral.
  • Art direct full-funnel campaigns that maintain consistent storytelling and visual hierarchy from awareness through retention.
  • Assist with on-set creative direction for photo and video shoots, including shot lists, styling alignment, talent direction, and collaboration with production partners.
  • Partner with project management to assign work, prioritize initiatives, and manage multiple brand workstreams simultaneously.
  • Provide direct, actionable creative feedback that improves storytelling, performance, layout, and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to analyze performance data and translate insights into improved creative concepts and iterations.
  • Build and maintain scalable creative systems including templates, asset libraries, and channel guidelines.
  • Lead and develop designers as direct reports, setting clear expectations, coaching creative growth, and maintaining a high standard for quality.
